The Daimon Brunton Quintet (DBQ) is possibly the most exciting intimate live band experience happening now!
The band has just released its sixth full-length album and are at the peak of their powers. Moreover they are getting ready to record a seventh album which will be unlike anything else you may have heard.
DBQ’s live shows are visceral, engaging and exciting. Catchy melodies are nestled inside funky grooves and played with undeniable passion and intensity.
DBQ shows are generally jam packed events and we suggest getting your tickets now!
This very special show will be played at the hauntingly beautiful Open Studio on Thursday 19th May.
The night will feature two huge 50 minute sets.
Expect to be riveted; to be immersed .. and expect to feel alive.

t was a full house last night and the energy in the room was unbelievable all night! DBQ tunes are pretty intense affairs and yet something about last night felt so easy. The crowd was with us every step of the way and the band felt like we were riding a wave. To everyone who came on down last night and to the Paris Cat for supporting us we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.Huge thanks also to these legends!! Adam Rudegeair; Adam Donaldson; Zac White & Blakely McLean Davies.
We’re not quite ready to release the information just yet but if you can trust us .. there are hugely exciting times ahead!! If these plans come to fruition we might be in the midst of the most exciting and creative time in DBQ’s 27 year history!
We’re welcoming Blakely McLean Davies to the band on bass and he will join the inimitable lineup of Zac White on guitar; Adam Donaldson on drums; Adam Rudegeair on keys and Daimon Brunton on trumpet.
Sometimes you just get a vibe or a feeling or a hunch and the buzz in the air amongst this band leads me to believe that our gig at The Paris Cat Jazz Club coming up on Thursday 21st April is going to be an absolute stonker of a gig!
