Last night at The Paris Cat Jazz Club was truly wonderful and we wish to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came down!
The room was jam packed and it seemed fitting as The Daimon Brunton Quintet combined with The Daimon Brunton Chamber Quartet made for a remarkable night of music that forged new pathways and broke new ground in the art form.
Coming up; on Thursday 11th August; The Daimon Brunton Quintet hits Open Studio! The band is welcoming Sean Newell on drums and Dylan Lynton on guitar. These are two energetic and outrageously talented musicians and I personally can’t wait to jump on stage and revel in the raw energy these artists will bring.
Tickets for that show are available via the link below:
On Thursday 21st July a truly ground breaking gig is happening at The Paris Cat Jazz Club!!
The Daimon Brunton Quintet (DBQ) is undoubtedly the most exciting live band experience happening now and for the very first time ever an electric, jazz/funk band is fusing with a classical chamber group.
This will be a jaw dropping event!!
Influenced by Clifford Brown in the mid 1950s; Freddie Hubbard in the early 1970s, Miles Davis in the late 1970s Miles Davis DBQ plays with an indomitable intensity and energy and now this unique sound is fusing with the lush and opulent sounds of a chamber quartet.
This gig will have everything! Raw energy, sophisticated arrangements, grand soundscapes, iconic melodies and 9 musicians playing beyond themselves.
DBQ has just released their sixth full-length album are about to record their seventh full length album and are at the peak of their powers.
The Daimon Brunton Quintet is always a visceral, engaging, intoxicating and exciting experience but adding a chamber quartet will dial this up even further.
Unfortunately I have caught the bug – yes that bug. So tomorrow night’s gig is having to be postponed until Thursday 11th August. For all ticket holders hold onto your tickets as they will be 100% valid for Thursday 11th August. HUGE shout out to Open Studio who have been ridiculously supportive – IN FACT – Adam Rudegeair (keys) and Owen Downie (bass) are going to put together an extravaganza this Thursday in place of our gig and ENTRY IS FREE! If I didn’t have to isolate I would LOVE to be there for this. It will be wild! Get on down and support this gracious, beautiful venue and these amazing musicians!
On Thursday 19th May The Daimon Brunton Quintet will light up Open Studio. This will sell out and there are only limited tickets available. The ticket link is below and below that is a little sample from our last gig to whet your appetite! Tickets available at…
